December 02 , 2007 Being in downtown Detroit stirs memories of my father. He was raised there and worked there for over thirty years for the city's Public Lighting Department. Now that he is gone, I find it calming to stand in the places he walked on for so many years of his life. |

Where I Stand is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell.
A new photo is posted every Sunday on my blog.
