The air has grown swollen with heat. The summer season is official, the sun casting heavy shadows at every turn.

The relief of the halfway mark of the year lingers in the air. The temperature will not break from the upper limit for weeks, ticking off the days that will lead to the second half of the year.

Where I Stand is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell.

A new photo is posted every Sunday on my blog.
