March 30, 2008 BE ANYTHING and EVERYTHING The center portion of this new artwork looks up at me and repeats those words over and over again. As I look down at the six new pieces waiting to travel to Open Studios at the International Quilt Festival with me, I am once again struck by the knowledge that my work floats somewhere between the traditional quilt world and the mainstream art world. Yet somehow the oddity is what draws me back to it time and again, always seeking something new and different. |

Where I Stand is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell.
A new photo is posted every Sunday on my blog.
