Artist statement: Whether we like it or not, we are at war. Whether we believe in this war or not people are going to come back from that war different. They might be physically or psychologically injured. Quilts of Valor (QOV) provide quilts to this group of people.

Piecers make the quilt tops and are matched with longarm quilters. We mail tops and completed quilts at our own expense. Match ups are done through the foundation website. I am proud to say I am one of the many longarm quilters that participate in this endeavor.

To date (7/25/08), QOVF has provided quilts to over 16,000
wounded warriors.

Mission statement from the QOVF website: "The mission of the Quilts of Valor (QOV) Foundation is to cover ALL war wounded and injured service members and veterans from the War on Terror whether physical or psychological wounds with Wartime quilts called Quilts of Valor (QOVS)."

We ARE one voice.

This foundation is not about politics. It's about people.
