Artist statement: I was inspired by Frances Holliday Alford's article in Quilting Arts Magazine to try this quilt technique. My materials include thrift shop garments, deconstructed flowers from candle rings, and bits of scrap fabrics, threads and fibers over Textiva film. Hand-made and purchased beads and embellishments complete this shiny bouquet. We can all do our bit to reuse and recycle to make something beautiful instead of
adding to the landfill!
