Trickles of Water
Artist statement: Over 25% of the world does not have clean drinking water. These people are subjected daily to drinking polluted or unsanitary water. My quilt represents the individuals and organizations whose one voice or water projects positively influence the lives they touch by improving health, diet, education, family life and empowerment of women. These things all happen because of hard work of individuals and teams who work together to get clean water to those in need. Two organizations that work to help create the flow of clean water are: The 1000 Wells Project by Blood: Water Missions works in Africa and The Living Waters in Action sponsored by Operation Blessing. |
