Artist statement: This block is in honor of my father, who died of pancreatic cancer in November 2007. He loved to play board games, and I loved playing with him. That time together - whether I was a little girl, teenager, or adult - was precious. As a physician, he helped his many patients and was a model for the aspiring doctors he mentored over his career, but all of that is secondary to one of the most important things he did: love his daughter.
