Artist statement: "Uniting the World" honors The Young Americans. This group brings the youth of the world together in one nest through their Music Outreach Tours. Throughout the U.S., as well as in Germany, Great Britain, Japan, and Australia, groups of YA's work with young people in an intensive three day workshop. At the end of which they produce a one-hour show highlighted by music, dance and theater starring the local talent.

Music is the universal language and these workshops bring out the talent and self-esteem lurking in the midst of teenage angst. Their work with disadvantaged and troubled youth is particularly inspiring. Directors Milton C. Anderson, Bill and Robyn Brawley shepherd a group of "teachers" in a fun, energetic and dynamic environment sure to change the world, with one voice! They have also operated the dinner theater in northern Michigan at Boyne Highlands for over 30 years.
