Artist statement: My quilt is named after an organization that consists of pilots that offer their aircraft services for free to families who are faced with medical crisis and other unforeseen needs. Pilots volunteer and donate their piloting talent, aircraft and time.

My son and I were recipients of this service in August 2004 after my son was injured in a car accident and was hospitalized during our travel that summer. He was unable to fly on commercial flights because of his injuries that made him susceptible to infections. I am very grateful for the help of Angel Flight; not only for the help they provided me and my son, but for all the help they provide to many families who find themselves in
need medically or financially.
